FAMILY · REQUIRED

Enroll your child in school — the ordinary admission window runs in spring (≈March–May) for the September start; arriving off-cycle uses the "fuera de plazo" process

School places are allocated through an annual admission round — the title's spring window for the September start — run by your region with points for proximity and siblings. Arriving outside that cycle isn't a dead end: the fuera de plazo process assigns places from what remains, which makes your neighbourhood choice and your padrón date matter even more.
WHEN IT'S DUE
Follows “Empadronamiento” — due within 7 days once that step is done.
WHY IT MATTERS
A legal requirement for your situation. Verified against an official government source (AEAT, extranjería, BOE).
WHERE YOU LIVE MATTERS
The specifics are set by each comunidad autónoma — the official source covers the national rules; your region's own rates and windows apply. Get Camino's interview asks where you're settling and flags this step accordingly.
