Pass DELE A2 Spanish language exam (Instituto Cervantes) — required for naturalization
Naturalisation requires proving basic Spanish, and DELE A2 (Instituto Cervantes) is the standard route — offered in exam sessions through the year at accredited centres, so seats are a scheduling exercise. It tests everyday communication, not literature. Native Spanish speakers from exempt countries skip it, which is why it may be absent from some roadmaps.
